A resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Stacey Bauer serves as Parkland Hospital’s director of sustainability and energy conservation. The multidisciplinary team she leads ensures that Parkland Health's Facilities Support Services program runs seamlessly across all areas of organization and management. Focused on environmental compliance, Stacey Bauer also oversees participation in sustainability certification programs related to Parksmart, LEED, and ENERGY STAR. She integrates sustainability efforts into job design and work process in ways that boost organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Ms. Bauer previously served as global procurement sustainability manager with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, where she oversaw the implementation of strategies in areas such as regenerative agriculture and soil and water health. She undertook sustainability reporting and worked toward ambitious goals that seek net zero emissions across North America by 2040. The pay for performance initiatives Ms. Bauer facilitated also encouraged growers to move toward more sustainable agricultural practices.
Stacey Bauer maintains a strong community presence and sits on the town council of Trophy Club, Texas. She has participated in Meals and Wheels and tree planting activities, and helped coordinate the municipality’s fall festival. She earned her JD at the Tulsa College of Law and holds a doctorate in environmental science and climate from Oregon State University.
